DAY 29

Faith made it back from the OR last night and once again, they could not find the bleed. They are saying her kidneys and liver are too damaged and this is not something she can recover from. They want us to make decisions and at some point today...we will be back in "the room". How do you make choices like this? She is still opening her eyes, she is still fighting....how do you give up on that? I don't want her to suffer. She deserves better, but I just don't know what to do. This is a horrible day.

  1. Shelly, You all must be so tired, but keep the FAITH. Faith's still fighting. We love you all and are here if you need us.

  2. I don't understand this. How can they not know where the bleeding is coming from. Can they call in someone like Dr. Hanley from Stanford who is the guru of pediatric open heart surgery and have him give an opinion. Don't give up!

    We love you!

  5. I am so sorry Shelly.

I talked with Andrea this morning and she relayed this terrible news. I do not know how you decide when enough is enough. But if stopping treatment feels like giving up, not letting go, maybe it's not time yet.

Praying without ceasing for a miracle, Jane.

  9. I have been praying since I heard about Faith a couple of weeks ago. My heart weeps with yours. I will continue to lift Faith up to her Heavenly Father, her maker. May it be of the greatest comfort, that whatever you decide, our God is Sovereign over it all and loves his daughter Faith with an unfathomable love. We beseech Thee O God for mercy and grace. We love Thee and praise Thee and thank Thee O merciful Saviour.
With a very full heart and love for a little one I don't know and her loving family,

  12. I am with Valerie-calling Dr. Hanley if possible, sounds like a great idea. Don't give up hope or Faith-things were really looking bad before and Faith pulled through. I wish I knew of something to say to comfort you..but I am at a lost for words..my prayers and thoughts are with you..
